The church's mission statement is: "We are an open community growing in God's unconditional love."
Built originally in 1891, the first church building is now a museum at Heritage Hill Park in Lake Forest.
The curent building was dedicated in 1969 and features a memorial fountain and a labyrinth designed for spiritual contemplation.
The church offers Christian eduction for men, women and children, in addition to Sunday School, Education for Ministry, a youth ministry, classes for newcomers, marriage and baptistm.
St. George's is also active in a variety of Christian ministries including orphan relief projects in Afghanistan and Africa. Church members also serve senior communities throughout south Orange County, both at the church and the homebound.
'The Journey' is a modern service for youth and families that seeks to reach those who have felt excluded from traditional Anglican services.
The St. George Academy offers eduction for pre-kindergarten through 8th grades.
Alcoholics Anonymous (men and women's groups), and Nicotine Anonymous are held at the church.
Bourne Hall, on the St. George's Episcopal Church and Academy grounds, is a multi-purpose hall for community use.
