Visit Historic Packing Houses in Oak Glen

Rileys at Los Rios Rancho is offering weekend guided tours of the ranch's historic 1906 apple packing house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

The packing house, built by original Los Rios Rancho owners Ernest and Howard Rivers, once housed Southern California's larges apple-shipping operation. Los Rios Rancho remains Southern California's largest continuously operated apple-growing operation. The tour includes a demonstration of the ranch's packing line machinery and a visit to its massive cold storage refrigerator.
