A Smile and a Ribbon

A Smile and a Ribbon are a Swedish indie pop duo, comprised of Rebecca Melman and Martin Lindqvist, whose sweet, simple, cute-as-a-button songs nod to artists like Talulah Gosh, Tilly and the Wall, and Cub. Their debut full-length, The Boy I Wish I Never Met, was released on Shelflife in the fall of 2007. The duo embarked on a modest U.K. tour in support of the album in the spring of the following year, making an appearance in London with the likeminded indie pop ensemble Cats on Fire. ~ Margaret Reges, All Music Guide
