Welcome to Vino Veritas Wine Bar! Tucked into a corner of Riverside's Mission Grove Shopping Center is a surprising little spot for grown-ups. Vino Veritas Wine Bar offers more than reds and whites dispensed from two self-serve kiosks in the bar. Owner Dan Bear also offers lunch and dinner menus filled with simple, but high quality dishes prepared by executive chef Al Reyes, whose resume includes Las Vegas' Bellagio, MGM, and Wynn casino resorts. Appetizers, salads, paninis, and two desserts - Chocolate Tres Leche and Cake & Berries - allow you to either graze or fill up. Though technically an appetizer, the Stuffed Portobello Mushroom is perfect for lunch. Filled with rich Dungeness crab, it is accompanies by salad greens with a refreshing splash of homemade dressing. But if you're really hungry, the Rosemary Ham Panini might be in order. Sliced Black Forest ham, rosemary mayo, red onion, Swiss cheese, and whole-grain mustard on a grilled baguette hits the spot. It is served with Reyes's homemade Caesar dressing. As for wine-tasting, one-ounce samples are measured out at the self-serve kiosks. You may also purchase by the glass or the bottle. Bear stocks a total of 150 wines that range from 74 cents per sample to more than $15 per sample. IPA Stone Pale Ale and Stella Artois are on tap, as are soft drinks. Come in and try us today!
