Genealogical Society meets monthly

The Yucaipa Genealogical Society meets are noon the second Saturday of each month to discuss the world of genealogy.

On Feb. 14, Nancy Carlberg will serve as the group's guest speaker where she will discuss Cemetery Research.

Carlberg has been a professional genealogist since 1975, and an amateur researcher since 1965.

She worked 2 1/2 years for Alex Haley, which began just before "Roots" aired on television. She also worked on gathering background material for "Roots II," "Queen," and a mini-series for television, "Palmerstown, U.S.A."
